Trent Rudge is a high-upside rookie arm who’s already getting real innings for Canisius
In the 2026 season, Trent Rudge has been used in relief for Canisius and has shown the kind of strike-throwing, right-handed arm talent that gets coaches interested fast, even if the early run prevention has been uneven. He debuted in February and has already logged multiple appearances against Division I competition, including a clean 1.0-inning outing with no runs allowed versus Merrimack. The appeal is the frame, arm-side competitiveness, and immediate trust in leverage spots; the caution is that he’s still very early in his college development, so the fit is more “projectable bullpen piece” than finished product.
