Elite Hang Time & Big-12 Honors Make ASU’s Punter a Special-Teams Weapon
Kanyon Floyd, Arizona State’s sophomore punter, stands out with a 44.8-yard average in 2025 and a nation-leading 3.86-second hang time as a freshman [1][5]. His 58-yard long and 11 punts downed inside the 20 in 2024 showcase precise placement, while his 2025 Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week award confirms game-changing impact [1][6]. Floyd’s fake-punt versatility (2 passes, 47 yards) and 75 EA Sports rating highlight adaptability and reliability [1][7]. No reported injuries, intense preparation, and a calm, competitive personality make him a high-fit punt specialist for teams prioritizing field-position dominance and special-teams scoring potential.
