Beau Brungard gives Youngstown State a true dual-threat spark at QB
Beau Brungard has emerged as a high-impact, offense-driving quarterback for Youngstown State, highlighted by a record-setting 264-yard rushing game by a YSU QB and a 2025 Walter Payton Award win that points to elite FCS production.[1][6] His biggest differentiators are his run-game explosiveness, competitiveness, and ability to create explosive plays when protection breaks down, which makes him more than just a stat sheet quarterback.[1][5] For a team wanting a tough, dynamic playmaker who can tilt a game on the ground and energize a locker room, he is absolutely worth serious attention.[1][6]
