Mike Murphy gives Campbell a clutch, contact-first bat with late-game grit
In the 2026 season, Campbell outfielder Mike Murphy has been a steady run-producer, hitting .250 with a .797 OPS and 40 hits, and he already delivered a walk-off RBI single in a ranked win over No. 16 Coastal Carolina[1][11]. He profiles as a competitive, situational hitter who can come through in pressure moments, not just pad the box score[11]. At 5'11", 200 pounds, he brings enough strength to matter in the lineup, and his value is the kind coaches love: reliable at-bats, timely contact, and a calm edge when the game tightens[3].
