Former UVA QB, not an active Cavaliers center
Phillip Sims is not a current Virginia Cavaliers center; the reliable roster and stat pages show him as a former Virginia quarterback who played in 2012, not a 2026 rostered lineman. In the 2012 season, he appeared in all 12 games, started four, and threw for 1,426 yards with 9 touchdowns for Virginia[1][7]. If you were aiming to evaluate him for today’s Cavaliers, the key takeaway is simple: he’s a historical name at UVA, not a present-day fit at center.
