Lamar DB Courtlon Allen: Depth-Chart Grinder with Early-Career Production
Courtlon Allen is a Lamar defensive back whose current profile is built more on reliability and development than flash: in 2020, he played in six games and finished with six tackles, including one unassisted stop and two-tackle outings against Bethel and Houston Baptist. That kind of early contribution suggests a player who can hold up in rotation, do the dirty work, and fit into a physical secondary. For a team, he makes sense if you value coachable depth, special-teams upside, and a DB who has already shown he can get on the field and contribute without needing the spotlight.
