Eli Aby brings Montana toughness and linebacker versatility to the Bobcats
Eli Aby is a homegrown Montana State linebacker with real multi-sport athleticism and a blue-collar profile that fits the Bobcats’ physical identity. He was a standout at Laurel, where he earned all-state honors at quarterback while also playing safety and helping win a state title, and at MSU he earned a reputation as a reliable, versatile defender who could carve out special-teams and depth value early. In the 2025 season, Montana State listed him as a returning starting linebacker, which suggests the staff trusts his instincts, competitiveness, and football IQ.
