LIU’s Nicolas Benhardt: seasoned right-hander with swing-and-miss upside and battle-tested innings
In the 2026 season, Nicolas Benhardt has been a regular piece of LIU’s pitching staff, working as a right-hander who can be trusted in leverage and who has logged meaningful innings against strong opponents. His profile suggests a competitive, older arm with some swing-and-miss ability, but also a contact-management challenge that shows up in results and run prevention. The fit is best for a team valuing experience, toughness, and depth over flashy velocity—an innings-eating competitor who can help stabilize a staff if paired with sharper command and defense behind him.
