Campbell’s Braden Smith: veteran QB with coach’s-mind upside
Braden Smith brings rare off-field polish to Campbell: the roster bio says he already has an English degree from SMU, is pursuing a master’s in education at Campbell, and wants to coach at the college level[1]. That kind of football IQ usually shows up in the huddle—he profiles as a smart, mature quarterback who should fit teams that value leadership, preparation, and steady decision-making more than flash. The catch: publicly available 2026 stat and ranking data for his current on-field performance wasn’t available in the material gathered, so this is more a character-and-fit read than a box-score scouting report[1].
