Spencer Stephens is Navy’s tough lefty with real late-inning juice
Spencer Stephens, a 6-foot-3 left-handed pitcher for Navy, emerged in 2025 as a swingman/reliever who can miss bats and handle leverage, earning Patriot League Rookie of the Week after a 4.0-inning, seven-strikeout, scoreless week and later contributing saves and wins in key conference games. He showed a 4.15 ERA through six appearances early in the 2025 season, then flashed even more value by closing out games with multi-inning relief work, including a three-inning save in 2026 against Air Force. If your team wants a big-bodied southpaw who competes, can cover innings, and already has clutch track record, he’s worth a hard look.
