Matt Poremba brings Butler a veteran linebacker’s edge
Matt Poremba profiles as a steady, experienced linebacker for Butler, with a resume that shows he’s been around the program long enough to understand the details that win games. The biggest appeal here is reliability: he reads plays well, plays with consistent effort, and fits as a physical, no-nonsense defender who can help stabilize the middle of a defense. The fit depends on whether a team wants a smart, assignment-sound LB rather than a flashy stat-stuffer, but that kind of glue-guy toughness is often exactly what good defenses need.
