6-5, 220-pound transfer QB Luke Sprague brings veteran upside to Sacramento State
Luke Sprague is a senior transfer quarterback at Sacramento State with a proven, efficient FCS résumé: in the 2024 season at Bethune-Cookman, he completed 28 of 46 passes for 336 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 1 interception, after throwing for 544 yards and 4 scores in the 2023 season. He’s a big-bodied passer at 6-5 and 220 pounds who offers developmental upside and depth, though his 2025 role at Sacramento State has been reserve-heavy so far. Why care? He’s the kind of experienced, physically imposing QB who can stabilize a room and provide insurance if injuries or inconsistency hit.
