physical Troy State linebacker with NFL-tested special-teams grit
McClain stands out as a tough, durable linebacker who made his name with physicality, special-teams value, and playmaking instincts rather than big-box score production; in his NFL seasons, he logged 25 games with eight tackles, one sack, one pass defended, and a blocked punt that led to a touchdown, and he was even named NFL Europe Defensive Player of the Week after an 11-tackle, one-sack outing. That profile suggests a blue-collar fit for teams that want effort, discipline, and depth in the middle of the defense, especially on coverage units.[1][7][16]
