LJ Roberts is a tone-setting, tackle-heavy defender for Eastern Washington
In the 2025 season, Eastern Washington linebacker LJ Roberts posted 70 tackles, showing he can be a reliable run-filler and volume producer for a defense that needs physicality. He arrived from Portland State with proven experience, and Eastern Washington’s staff immediately viewed him as an important defensive addition. The bigger selling point: he plays like a downhill, high-motor defender who can stabilize the middle and bring consistency, which is exactly the kind of glue guy coaches love.
