High-upside ASU freshman with early-season flashes, but still carving out his role
Finn Leach entered Arizona State with real pedigree after hitting .433 with 12 extra-base hits and a homer in his 2025 senior season at Nathan Hale, where he was also ranked among Washington’s top prospects. In the 2026 season, his college line has been uneven (.188 average in limited action), but he’s shown versatility by appearing at both second and third base and adding value on the bases and in the field. The draw here is upside: a left-handed bat, athletic infield flexibility, and a reputation as a high-contact, high-motor player who could fit a program that values development and defensive adaptability.
