Small 2025 footprint, still an upside-back with room to grow
In the 2025 season, Haywood Haynes logged 5 carries for 21 rushing yards at 4.2 yards per carry for Alcorn State, a tiny sample that doesn’t yet scream featured-back production.[1] The appeal is more about projection than production right now: he’s shown enough efficiency to suggest burst, but his current workload is limited, so the real question is whether he can turn flashes into sustained volume. If a staff wants a low-mileage back with development upside, Haynes is a reasonable watch-list candidate rather than a finished product.[1]
