Nate Frankfather brings versatility, tackle production, and ball-hawking upside to UND
Frankfather enters the 2026 season as a senior safety at North Dakota after a 2024 campaign at Mt. San Jacinto College that featured 44 tackles in 10 games, 33 solo stops, 3 tackles for loss, 4 pass breakups, 2 interceptions, and a fumble recovery. The fit is appealing because he has shown he can play downhill, finish plays in space, and create turnovers — the kind of multi-tool defender coaches love. He looks like a steady, physical, high-motor presence who can help a secondary by making things happen instead of just reacting to them.
