Blake Gallagher brings old-school frontcourt grit to Western Carolina
Gallagher is best remembered as a physical, blue-collar forward who impacted the glass early in his Western Carolina career, including a 12-rebound double-double in a 2007 win that drew praise for his rapid development and strong efficiency around the rim. His differentiator is energy: he was the kind of frontcourt piece who could alter a game with rebounding, effort, and steady interior finishing rather than high usage. If you need toughness, board work, and a low-drama fit who plays within a role, he profiles as a useful team guy.
