San Diego Toreros DL with Untapped Potential from Scholar-Athlete Roots
Mychal Odom, a defensive lineman for the San Diego Toreros, stands out as a high-motor player with scholar-athlete pedigree—honored in 1983 by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame during his early career—but limited recent performance data makes him a developmental gem rather than a proven stat leader. His differentiators include relentless intensity and football IQ, ideal for teams seeking versatile, coachable DLs who excel in run defense; no notable injury history, but he'd thrive in a system emphasizing technique over raw athleticism, making him a smart mid-major fit for Power 5 depth charts.
