Mercer DE Tunde Ayinla: proven, disruptive edge with legit playmaking chops
Tunde Ayinla brings sturdy size (6-0, 249) and a productive Mercer résumé, including 49 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles in the 2014 season, plus 15 tackles and 1.5 TFL in 2015 before a season-ending injury cut that year short.[1] He profiles as a high-effort, assignment-sound edge defender who has shown real finishing ability, especially against the run and on backside pursuit, and Mercer’s own bio highlights his family-first fit and academic consistency. If you want a dependable DE who plays with grit, toughness and some bite in the backfield, he’s a strong fit.[1]
