Gabe Williams brings length, range, and upside as a versatile front-seven defender
Gabe Williams is a long, athletic, high-upside defender who profiles as a range-and-contact linebacker type more than a pure stat producer right now, with Virginia Tech listing him at 6'4" and noting he played in four games in 2025 and two in 2024 while totaling one tackle in each season. Recruiting evaluations praised his ability to cover ground and play with surprising physicality, and his high-school background included 4.6-speed, two-time All-MIAA honors, and national linebacker attention, which suggests he fits best with a defense that values length, movement skills, and developmental upside over immediate plug-and-play production.
