Mia Tamkoc brings strike-throwing upside to SUU’s circle
In the 2026 season, Southern Utah freshman pitcher Mia Tamkoc logged 5.2 innings over five appearances, with a strong late-season relief showing against Utah Valley that included two scoreless innings and three strikeouts. Her calling card is command: before SUU, she posted a 2.12 ERA in high school with 115 strikeouts and just 14 walks, signaling a pitcher who attacks the zone and keeps games under control. She looks like a development-friendly arm for a staff that values efficiency, composure, and low-walk softball.
