Canisius’ rookie lefty is flashing swing-and-miss upside
In the 2026 season, freshman left-hander Jackson Long has shown real strikeout juice for Canisius, including a career-high five strikeouts in 1.2 innings against Bowling Green and a scoreless inning in relief against Le Moyne. The hook here is the arm-side potential: he’s a 5'10" lefty with bat-missing ability, but the stat line also shows some volatility and command growing pains, so he looks more like a developmental upside play than a finished product. If your team wants a young bullpen piece with intriguing upside, Long is worth a look.
