Deshawn Ruffin brings local-talent energy and DB versatility to Fresno State
Deshawn Ruffin is a Fresno-grown defensive back listed at 5-10, 175 who fits the Bulldogs’ mold as a compact, competitive cover man with room to keep climbing. Fresno State’s roster and past camp coverage show he earned early notice for flashing in spring work and pushing for snaps, a sign of real intensity and coach trust. For a team needing toughness, special-teams value, and a local player with chip-on-the-shoulder juice, Ruffin is the kind of depth piece who can become more if his technique keeps sharpening.
