Anthony Grundy was a do-it-all ACC guard who carried NC State in 2001-02
In the 2001-02 season, Anthony Grundy was NC State’s engine: he led the Wolfpack in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals and minutes, finished with 17.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.1 steals per game, and earned All-ACC First Team and All-ACC Defensive Team honors. He mattered because he brought two-way impact, toughness, and late-blooming star power after coming off the bench early in his career. If you want a guard who can create, defend, and swing big games with intensity, he was absolutely that guy.
