Samson Johnson is a high-efficiency rim anchor with real two-way impact
Johnson’s biggest value is efficiency and interior defense: in the 2024-25 season at UConn, he started nearly every game, shot a program-record 76.6% from the floor, and averaged 7.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game. He is the kind of center who quietly tilts games with vertical finishing, shot-blocking, and clean decision-making rather than high-usage scoring. If you want a low-mistake, paint-protecting big who can finish around the rim and stay productive in winning lineups, he’s a strong fit.
