Matt Wright brings veteran Hawaii LB roots, but current player data is limited
Matt Wright is listed on Hawaiʻi’s football roster as a linebacker, but there isn’t enough reliable current-season stat or scouting data here to judge his 2026 on-field impact with confidence. What stands out is the name recognition and program fit: a Hawaii linebacker by background, he brings the kind of local-network familiarity and defensive mindset teams value. If you’re asking “why care?” the answer is simple—he’s a roster piece worth monitoring, but this snapshot doesn’t support a strong performance verdict yet.
