Alec Belardes brings a pro-style, strike-throwing right arm to San Diego State
Belardes is a 6'2", 210-pound right-handed pitcher who arrived at San Diego State after brief freshman-action stops at Arizona State, where he made two relief appearances in 2025. He was once rated a top-500 Perfect Game prospect and a top-200 RHP nationally, and his high-school resume shows a strong strike-throwing foundation: a 15-4 record, 2.27 ERA, 139 strikeouts, and only 63 walks in 132.2 innings. The fit appeal is straightforward—size, starter’s frame, and pedigree suggest upside if his stuff keeps trending.
