Grambling’s Reliable Two-Way Threat Behind the Plate
Chris Marcellus is a proven run producer and defensive catcher for Grambling State, earning 2025 All-SWAC Second Team honors after hitting .271 with 32 RBI, six homers, and 10 runners caught stealing in the 2025 season. He brings a compact, physical build, a strong throwing arm, and a track record of making pitchers better with steady receiving and game management. He also showed he can contribute under pressure, with 10 multi-RBI games in 2025. If you want a catcher who can handle the staff and add real offensive value, Marcellus fits.
