Jaxon Lucas is Liberty’s steady strike-throwing righty with midweek-to-weekend value
In the 2026 season, Jaxon Lucas has given Liberty a dependable RHP option, highlighted by a 3-1 record and a 4.37 ERA entering mid-April, plus a five-inning, five-strikeout outing against No. 25 West Virginia that showed he can hang in big spots[3][14][15]. He’s a transfer from NC State with a track record of limiting walks and missing bats, and his appeal is pretty simple: he brings poise, experience, and enough command to fit either as a rotation piece or a high-leverage arm[1][9][12].
