Bowling Green freshman John Hughes arrives as an athletic, high-upside outfield add
John Hughes enters Bowling Green in the 2026 season as a 5-foot-10 freshman outfielder from Mississauga, Ontario, bringing a strong amateur résumé: he was the No. 7 ranked outfield prospect in Ontario, a three-time Canadian Premier Baseball League All-Star, a member of Team Ontario in 2023, and part of a 2023 Canadian national championship team. His appeal is athleticism, game experience, and competitive pedigree rather than raw size, making him a fit for a program that values speed, energy, and upside in the outfield.
