Local walk-on forward who brought hustle to Nevada
Elquist was a local Elko product and walk-on forward for Nevada, valued more for grit and team-first energy than box-score volume. In the 2021-22 season, Nevada listed her on the women’s basketball roster, and a later Nevada Sports Net report noted she played 14 total minutes over six games across her last two seasons, finishing with four points and six rebounds. That profile says “reliable role player” more than “featured scorer” — a fit for teams needing toughness, depth, and low-drama effort.
