veteran Southern Miss guard with deep shooting chops and steady floor leadership
Jay Malone is a 6-foot, redshirt-junior guard from Meridian, Miss., known for his catch-and-shoot range, poise, and ability to run an offense without forcing the issue.[1][3] In the 2020-21 season, he averaged 8.5 points and 4.2 rebounds while starting all 25 games despite a lingering foot injury, and he finished with 220 career made threes at Southern Miss, second in school history at the time.[5] He’s the kind of guard who fits a team that values experience, spacing, and low-drama production over flash.[1][3][5]
