VCU’s Cooper Campbell brings strikeout ability and high-leverage reliability
Campbell has been a valuable two-way bullpen piece for VCU, posting a **3.75 ERA** with **47 strikeouts in 60.0 innings** during the 2026 season while also handling big moments, including a save in the Rams’ A-10 title run.[1][3][7] What makes him interesting is the combination of strike-throwing experience, deception, and proven ability to miss bats without needing overpowering volume; as a freshman in 2025, he also logged **40 strikeouts in 38.0 innings** and led the team in appearances.[1][3] He looks like a fit for teams that value competitive, versatile right-handed relief depth with postseason composure.[3][7]
