Veteran Valpo guard with proven floor-leader instincts
Lauren Bechtold brings experience and guard savvy to Valparaiso, with the kind of steady, low-drama game coaches usually trust in big moments. Her college profile shows she was a rostered guard for Valpo across multiple seasons, including 2002-03 and 2005-06, suggesting longevity and familiarity with the program’s demands. She looks like a fit if you want a composed backcourt presence who can organize offense, make smart reads, and handle responsibility without needing the spotlight. The main question for any team is how much burst and shot-creation she provides alongside that reliability.
