Eric Etienne brings size, backfield disruption, and sneaky upside to WKU’s defensive front
Etienne is a 6-1, 305-pound redshirt sophomore DL at Western Kentucky who arrived after a productive run at Norfolk State, where he played in nine games in 2024 and logged 13 tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks. WKU listed him as a January 2025 transfer, and his high-school résumé at Miramar showed real disruption ability: 63 tackles, 13 TFL, four sacks, plus four forced fumbles in his 2023 senior season. He’s the kind of interior defender who fits a physical, downhill front—more force than flash, with enough burst to make quarterbacks and run games uncomfortable.
