Bryce Burnett brings size, versatility, and a developmental ceiling to EIU’s offensive line
Burnett is a 6-foot-4, 295-pound offensive lineman for Eastern Illinois who entered the program as a Westville, Illinois product and has already shown he can add value on the field in a depth role. In the 2024 season, he played in four games as a backup lineman and on special teams, which is a good sign for a young interior/trench player earning trust early. The appeal is the frame, the local toughness, and the growth runway; the downside is that he’s still more projection than proven starter, so he fits best with a staff that develops linemen patiently.
