Ezra Gray brings burst, brains, and proven big-play juice to Alabama State
Ezra Gray is a compact, high-effort Alabama State back whose calling card is efficiency and explosiveness: his Alabama State career totals show 441 carries for 1,875 yards and 9 rushing touchdowns with a 4.3 yards-per-carry average, and he has also been recognized as a scholar-athlete, which speaks to discipline and preparation.[1][3] In the 2021 season, he was productive in key spots, including a 195-yard, 3-touchdown game vs. Jackson State, hinting at a runner who can flip a game when the lane opens.[11] If you want a tough, reliable back with football IQ and upside in space, Gray fits; if you need a punisher built to carry every down, he’s more spark plug than sledgehammer.[1][14]
