a clutch Iowa kicker with a proven leg and Hawkeye pedigree
In the 2018 season, Miguel Recinos was a steady, high-leverage weapon for Iowa: he scored 98 points, hit 17 of 22 field goals, and made all 47 extra points, finishing second in the Big Ten in scoring and earning honorable mention All-Big Ten[1][2]. His biggest differentiator was reliability under pressure, capped by a 41-yard walk-off field goal to beat Nebraska, plus strong academic and locker-room value as a two-time Reggie Roby Special Teams Award winner and Academic All-Big Ten honoree[1][2].
