Experienced Long Beach State righty with a power look and bullpen upside
In the 2025 season, Erick Diez was a strike-throwing Long Beach State bullpen arm who logged multiple relief appearances, including a pair of strikeouts in one inning against Northwestern, and his profile still carries the calling card of a hard RHP with a 90–94 mph fastball, sharp slider, and usable changeup. He’s a senior transfer from Delta College, 6-foot, 220 pounds, which hints at a sturdy, mature frame built for contact management and leverage innings. If you want a pitcher with power stuff, some experience, and coachable upside, he’s worth a close look.
