Maine DB Ernest Simon brings compact, physical defensive versatility
Ernest Simon is a 5-foot-9, 185-pound defensive back for Maine who came to the Black Bears as a freshman from Xaverian Brothers in Westwood, Massachusetts.[2] His profile suggests a smaller but sturdy defensive back with a likely emphasis on toughness, closing speed, and willingness to support the run, while earlier college data from a previous stop shows he was productive in a different role and showed ball-production instincts with fumble recoveries.[1][2] That combination makes him intriguing for a team looking for a competitive, adaptable defender rather than just a pure size-speed athlete.[1][2]
