Shadrach Thornton was a big-play NC State back with production and baggage
In his NC State career, Shadrach Thornton piled up 2,572 rushing yards and 19 rushing touchdowns, with a career 5.0 yards per carry, and he ranked among the Wolfpack’s all-time leaders in rushing volume and explosiveness. His calling card was downhill burst and touchdown finishing—he had multiple 100-yard games and could flip a drive in one snap—but his resume also carried serious off-field volatility and repeated suspensions that affected trust and availability. If you want a runner with proven production and juice, he fits; if reliability and clean depth-chart stability matter most, that’s the catch.
