Davon Smart brings proven, high-volume production to Norfolk State’s secondary
Smart stands out as a battle-tested defensive back with clear playmaking upside and the kind of production coaches trust: Norfolk State lists him as a starter who has shown strong ball skills and physicality in the secondary. His profile suggests a player who can help stabilize coverage and compete with intensity, making him a fit for teams that value reliability, toughness, and experience over raw flash. I’d care because he looks like a dependable, assignment-sound defender who can raise the floor of a unit and handle meaningful snaps.
