South Carolina’s Injury-Free CB with Elite Track Speed and High-Intensity Coverage
Ranzino Valentine, a 5'8", 174-lb cornerback for the South Carolina Gamecocks, stands out not for raw stats but for his elite track-and-field speed (competing in 60m/100m/4×1 relay) and fierce, injury-free intensity after recovering from prior setbacks. Unlike typical CBs, he brings sprinter-level burst to break up passes and close on receivers, making him a high-fit for teams needing speed over size. His personality is driven and competitive, with a track record of showing up post-injury—proving he’s reliable under pressure. While his 2024 season stats are limited (4 games, 8 total team wins), his differentiator is intensity, speed, and resilience—traits that make him a valuable fit for any team prioritizing agility and mental toughness over bulk.
