Ashli Mayes brings sharp shooting and wing versatility to Samford
Ashli Mayes is a Samford guard who was described by the program as a “tremendous shooter” with strong basketball skills, and her profile notes she was rehabbing an ACL surgery in January while competing for wing minutes, which adds a durability-and-return-to-form wrinkle to her value. In the 2013-14 season bio, she also earned all-county recognition in high school and was praised for sportsmanship, hinting at a player who can fit a roster with shooting, skill, and a team-first edge.
