High School Sack Machine with Pro Pedigree Potential
Gus Ferrat, a 6-2, 285-pound defensive tackle from Pasadena City College via Burroughs High (CA), dominated as a junior in 2011-12 with 30 total tackles, 9 solo, and 4.5 sacks over 11 games—well above national averages—showcasing explosive pass-rush ability and run-stuffing power. Bearing the name of NFL legend Gus Frerotte (1999: 60.2% completion, 83.6 rating), this gritty DL brings family football DNA, relentless intensity, and NFL-sized frame ideal for SEC or Big Ten fronts; no recent college stats found, but his high school tape screams mid-major starter with transfer upside.
