Duquesne’s 6’5” Guard with Elite Defensive Intensity and Senior Leadership
Noah Buono, a 6’5” (1m98) shooting guard for the Duquesne Dukes, stands out not for volume stats but for his relentless defensive intensity and veteran presence as a senior from Brick, NJ. While his 2021-22 season saw minimal on-court time (1 minute vs. UC Irvine), his recent role in team discussions—highlighted in Duquesne’s 2025-26 audio sessions—reveals a player who elevates team defense and fosters cohesion. His differentiator is his ‘play harder on defense’ mindset, a trait praised by coaches and teammates alike. Though injury history isn’t public, his low statistical output suggests limited prior playing time, not decline. For teams seeking a high-intensity, defensively driven guard with leadership maturity, Buono is a compelling fit—especially in roles prioritizing defense over scoring.
