Richmond Spiders' Standout DB from the Early 2000s Era
Ramon Richeson, a sophomore safety for the Richmond Spiders, earned Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week honors in 2000 after leading his team with eight tackles in a key 17-6 conference win over Maine, showcasing elite playmaking with National Defensive Player of the Week recognition that season for eight tackles, two interceptions, one sack, and one forced fumble. His ball-hawking instincts, tackling prowess, and game-changing intensity made him a disruptive force in the secondary—ideal for teams seeking a high-motor DB with proven big-play ability, though long graduated with no recent college performance data as of 2026.
