Tommy Townsend is a field-flipping punter with elite leg strength and placement
Townsend’s value is his combination of **distance, hang time, and pin-deep placement**: in 2025 he averaged **47.6 yards per punt** with **30 punts inside the 20**, showing he can change field position consistently for a defense.[15][17] His track record includes multiple seasons with strong punting efficiency and a career built on reliability rather than flash, making him a fit for teams that want a proven specialist who can control hidden yardage.[16][17]
