Tim Carroll brings efficient scoring, rebounding, and rim protection to Akron's frontcourt
Carroll profiles as a high-impact, inside-out forward who gives a team efficient scoring, strong rebounding, and real defensive activity in the lane; in his 2025-26 season at Xavier, he averaged 17.8 points in BIG EAST play, finished with 5.8 rebounds per game, and led the team in blocks at 1.3 per game. He’s especially valuable because he can stretch the floor a bit, finish efficiently, and create matchup problems with his motor and versatility, though recent injury interruption is worth monitoring. If Akron wants a productive, battle-tested forward who can score without needing the offense built around him, he fits.
